Cartel clock in inlaid ebonized wood
Description
Monumental clock in ebonized wood inlaid in the manner of boulle and enriched with profiles and applications of gilded bronze. Parallelepiped case at the top of which is inserted the white enamel dial with double winding hole; a large leaf with crumpled tips closes the rich ornamentation at the top together with a cascade of roses and leaves that descends to lap its side profiles. From the mixtilinear base, two full-bodied foliate volutes rise on the sides that anticipate a palm tree with probably rendered leaves; spinning top feet. This exceptional clock rests on a shelf with the same decorative characteristics that opens like a fan, closed internally by a composition of flowers and leaves also in gilded and chiseled bronze.
