Description
This important pair of boxes is made of fine red porphyry, resting on high gilded bronze plinths. The ram’s head lugs add a classic and distinctive touch. In the center, a finely chiseled stem is wrapped in a gilded bronze snake, which gives further refinement and artistic complexity.
