Description
Bureau plat veneered in various precious essences and inlaid with lozenges. The rectangular top is partially covered in leather. It has three drawers on the front fascia and three more simulated on the opposite side, with a pull-out tablette on each side. The legs are shod with gilded bronze shoes. It measures 80x170x85 cm and is a nineteenth-century work, made in France with wood, leather and gilded bronze materials. This bureau plat is an exquisite example of French craftsmanship, combining functionality and aesthetics. The diamond inlays and gilded bronze finishes are testament to the meticulous attention to detail typical of the period.
