Secretaire veneered in mahogany and briar. The cabinet has four drawers on the front and a flap that conceals a nest of pullers with a central door finely inlaid to depict a musical triumph. The calatoia bears an elegant inlay motif depicting a two-handled vase between two sphinxes, and the feet are shaped corbels. It measures 143×94.5×51 cm and was made during the Biedermeier period (1815-1848) in Germany. A piece that combines functionality and art.
