Secretaire veneered in mahogany and briar. It has four drawers on the front and a flap that hides a nest of pullers with a central door finely inlaid to depict a musical triumph. The calatoia bears an elegant inlay motif depicting a two-handled vase between two sphinxes and the feet are shaped corbels. It measures 143×94.5×51 cm and is a work from the Biedermeier period (1815-1848), made of wood, from Germany. This secretaire is a stunning example of elegance and functionality, with an inlaid decoration that testifies to the artistic skill of the Biedermeier period.
